1. Agreement and eligibility
By accessing or using Tapped, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement. Shop account holders must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act for their business.
2. Tapped’s role
Tapped provides technology for discovery, appointment booking, scheduling, client management, team access, reporting, and connections to third-party payment processors. Shops are independent businesses, not employees, agents, or partners of Tapped. Tapped does not provide the booked service and is not responsible for its quality, safety, legality, pricing, availability, or outcome.
3. Accounts and team access
You must provide accurate information, protect account credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. Shop owners control invitations, roles, and permissions and remain responsible for activity performed through their shop and team accounts. Team members may use shop and customer information only for authorized business purposes.
4. Bookings, cancellations, and disputes
A booking creates an arrangement between the customer and the selected shop. The shop sets services, prices, availability, cancellation rules, and refund practices. Customers must provide accurate contact information and comply with the shop’s policies. Booking disputes should first be addressed directly with the shop.
5. Payments
Online payments are processed by the shop’s connected provider, such as Square or Clover, and are paid to that merchant account. Tapped does not hold customer funds. Processor terms, fees, settlement schedules, chargebacks, and restrictions also apply. Shops are responsible for taxes, refunds, disputes, and accurately marking in-person payments. Tapped’s revenue reports are operational tools and are not accounting, tax, or legal advice.
6. Shop subscriptions
Paid Tapped plans renew at the price and interval shown at purchase until cancelled. Applicable taxes may be added. Shops authorize our billing provider to charge the selected payment method. Unless required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change plans or pricing with reasonable advance notice.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse Tapped; break the law; infringe another person’s rights; upload harmful or deceptive content; scrape or resell the service; bypass security or access controls; interfere with service operation; process payment data outside approved interfaces; or use customer information for unauthorized purposes. Shops must have the rights and consents needed for content and data they submit.
8. Third-party services
Tapped depends on services such as hosting, authentication, communications, mapping, and payment providers. Their separate terms and privacy practices apply. We are not responsible for third-party outages, account decisions, processing delays, or acts outside our reasonable control.
9. Availability, disclaimers, and liability
Tapped is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. Tapped is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Our aggregate liability arising from Tapped will not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the fees you paid Tapped during the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow all limitations, so they apply only to the extent permitted.
10. Suspension, termination, and changes
You may stop using Tapped at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for violations, security risks, non-payment, legal requirements, or material harm to users or Tapped. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination will survive. We may update these Terms and will post the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
11. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Contact Tappedbooking@gmail.com with questions.
